Behrens Design & Development is proud to announce the completion and opening of Trimble Pointe, a multi-faceted development in Moline Illinois. The new development is located in downtown Moline. Trimble Pointe will be home to Trimble Funeral Home and Crematory, Worry Free Cremation Care, Veterans Funeral Care, Trimble Funeral Planning, and CityView Celebrations, a reception and celebration center. The anchor of the development will be the new Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center. Trimble was forced to move from its previous location in downtown Moline because of the new I-74 bridge, and is now located at 701 12th Street, overlooking the downtown area and Mississippi River.
The new funeral home has multiple and adaptable visitation areas to comfortably accommodate the largest services or the most intimate gatherings, and also features many enhancements to serve the varying needs of client families, including a café’ serving refreshments to funeral guests, an on-site crematory, state of the art digital screens and equipment for memorial tributes, a consumer-friendly virtual casket selection room, a welcoming and inviting children’s area, and an outdoor deck patio.
Eric Trimble, president of the family owned firm, said the new building incorporates many functions under one roof that will redefine the experience for Trimble client families. CityView at Trimble Pointe, a fully licensed reception center with a panoramic view of downtown Moline and the river, is located on the north side of the complex. This facility has a separate entrance and parking and features Trimble’s innovative approach to funeral service offering families and their guests an on-site upscale venue for funeral luncheons and hospitality visitations, and is also available to the community for meetings and celebrations. The features of the new building allow Trimble to cater to the changing wishes and demands of the community, and to offer unparalleled options for funeral and memorial services. Trimble said: “We have been given the opportunity to give the community a legacy building where people can come together, share, grieve, remember, celebrate, and say good bye. Reid Trimble, Eric’s son and business partner, stated “Ninety years ago, our present building was one of the very earliest examples of the new ‘funeral home’ concept in the Midwest, an innovation over the store-front mortuary buildings prior to that time. We are excited to again provide the community with innovative, contemporary, unparalleled options for all of their memorial needs.” The building’s unique exterior design was carefully created by Behrens Design’s architectural services. The interior design was expertly created by Paragon Interiors of Davenport, Iowa. The new facility features many progressive new ideas and features which create a remarkable and one of a kind facility.
